Free online Phonics videos

At De Beauvoir, we learn phonics using Read Write Inc. There is a video about understanding phonics - have a look at why we teach phonics. 

It is important that the children are saying pure sounds. Have a look at how to say the different phonemes (sounds) in the English language. 

Watch Ruth and Rosie teach phonics lessons to help your child learn to read at home. Lessons are from Monday to Friday. Each one is ten minutes long and available for 24 hours.

We are so excited to share EasyPeasy with you!

EasyPeasy is an online platform that has direct links to our curriculum to support our children to continue to learn and develop through play. All of our parents, across Reception and Nursery, received a text message today that will allow direct and constant access to an extensive range of games and learning experiences that can be played together!
Every Saturday a new update will be received with new games and experiences.

Mark Making

Hello Nursery

Mark Making is a great stepping stone into writing. It does not need to involve a pen and paper- let's get creative and explore new media and materials!

Simply pour some flour on a surface and have a go at writing your name using your finger!
